Toba Aquarium boasts the largest number of species kept in Japan, with approximately 1,200 different creatures on exhibit. The aquarium has no fixed visitor route, allowing guests to explore freely. Its exhibits include areas showcasing the ecosystem of Ise Bay and recreations of rivers found throughout Japan. Toba Aquarium is also the only place in Japan where visitors can see sea otters and dugongs, making it a popular destination for family trips.
