Ota Shokudo
Lunch, Osatsu Dining

The standout dish at Ota Shokudo is undoubtedly the yakisoba. It looks quite different from the standard version of the dish because it is served without any sauce already applied. In a rare local style, customers add Worcestershire sauce themselves to suit their own taste. In Osatsu, "yakisoba" is practically synonymous with the version served here. Joining the locals to try this unique specialty is a great way to experience the authentic flavors of the village.

Also in the area
Nakashin is the only restaurant in the Osatsu area, and indeed in all of Toba City, that specializes exclusively in charcoal-grilled eel. Each eel is hand-selected by the owner for its quality, then meticulously prepared and grilled over Bincho charcoal. The savory, smoky aroma draws in local regulars as well as dedicated fans who travel from afar to visit this specialty shop.
